Camp Baker is a fun, structured day treatment program designed for kids who struggle with attentional and behavioral challenges.
Children participate in typical summer camp activities, such as swimming, sports, and art with the intervention built into the structure of every activity. Campers also engage in one period of academics to reduce the academic and behavioral regression common in neurodiverse children. Additionally, social skills are taught and practiced daily with their peers in every activity, which help them generalize these social skills to other settings.
Parents and caregivers play an essential and collaborative role at Camp Baker. We hold weekly parent training sessions where we teach you the skills that our counselors are utilizing every day with your children. The skills that we teach caregivers have been proven to be effective with managing behaviors of children struggling with ADHD and related disorders.
The summer 2024 program will run from Monday, July 9, 2024 - 8:00am to Friday, August 16, 2024 - 4:30pm.
