The Baker Center for Children and Families has been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) International for a period of three years for its Center for Effective Therapy (CET), an outpatient clinic focused on short-term, high-quality, evidence-based treatment. Clients range in age from 2 to 22 and face a range of mental health challenges and learning difficulties such as trauma, depression, and anxiety. This is the first accreditation that the accrediting body, CARF International, has awarded to The Baker Center.

When Daniel’s family first came to The Baker Center, they were exhausted, scared, and unsure where to turn. Daniel’s depression and anxiety had become so overwhelming that simple daily routines like getting out of bed, going to school, or having dinner together had become impossible. His parents described him as “a shell of himself.”

The Baker Center, a national leader in children’s mental health, recently named John Kershaw, MeD, as Senior Director of the Manville School. As Senior Director, John oversees Manville’s day-to-day operations and leads the school’s management team. John’s role will allow him to shape the vision and future of Manville alongside The Baker Center’s Senior Leadership team and ensure all students receive the highest quality care.
