Join Dr. Ernestine Briggs-King for a compelling session on advancing trauma-informed care for children and families impacted by maltreatment and trauma. Drawing from national initiatives and over two decades of experience, Dr. Briggs-King will share practical strategies for implementing evidence-based treatments (EBTs) in real-world settings. This talk will highlight how systems can move from research to action—building capacity, engaging communities, and improving outcomes through culturally responsive, trauma-informed approaches.

Target Audience: Physicians (psychiatrists, pediatricians, child neurologists), psychologists, social workers, other mental health clinicians and researchers, and students and trainees.

  1. Understand the principles and importance of trauma-informed care, particularly in addressing trauma and adversity.
