The Baker Center, a national leader in children’s mental health, named Dr. Gary R. Lyon,EdD, MPA to the role of Vice President of Innovation and External Affairs and Senior Diversity Officer. Dr. Lyon collaborates with the CEO, VP of Programs, and senior management team to drive innovation in children's behavioral health and special education. Dr. Lyon also acts as an external liaison representing JBCC in local, regional, and national venues. As a Senior Diversity Officer (SDO), he is responsible for developing organization-wide diversity and inclusion programs. In addition, he works with senior management and Human Resources to conduct organization-wide training, promote diversity and inclusion, resolve challenges and conflicts, and establish metrics to measure progress towards goals.

The Baker Center, a national leader in children’s mental health, named Richard Voccio, MBA to the role of Vice President of Finance. Voccio will be responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the organization and supporting the President and CEO, senior leadership, and the Board of Trustees to develop and implement financial management and oversight strategies across the organization. He brings a well-rounded financial executive leadership track record of supporting organizations by integrating a hands-on approach with a big picture strategic and entrepreneurial perspective.

We are pleased to unveil our FY 2019-2020 Biennial Report, which details the major milestones and accomplishments we've made over the past two years. The report also includes an overview of our financials during FY 2019 and FY 2020, including the names of our incredibly generous donors. We hope you'll find the report informative and engaging.

It's our pleasure to announce the newest entry in our "Spotlight On" series, written and coordinated by our Evidence-Based Policy Institute. This entry is titled "Supporting Transgender & Gender-Nonconforming (T/GNC) Youth in Massachusetts". In this report, we examine the experiences that contribute to the growth and development of T/GNC youth, as well as the reasons why many of these youth disproportionately experience negative social, physical, and behavioral health outcomes.

We are thrilled to announce our partnership with The Upswing Fund for Adolescent Mental Health. With the support provided by this grant, we will be able to continue to serve historically underserved adolescents of color and LGBTQ+ youth in our community.
