Vice President of Finance
Dzmitry Hliakau joined The Baker Center for Children and Families in 2020 and was appointed Vice President of Finance in July 2025. He leads all aspects of the Baker Center’s financial operations, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, grants administration, and regulatory compliance. Working closely with senior leadership and the Board of Trustees, Dzmitry champions financial transparency and accountability, guiding strategic resource allocation to ensure the long-term sustainability of the Baker Center’s programs and mission.
He began his career at The Baker Center as a Staff Accountant and advanced through roles of increasing responsibility, including Senior Accountant, Assistant Director of Finance, and Director of Finance. Throughout his tenure, Dzmitry has demonstrated a passion for strengthening internal controls, modernizing financial systems, and improving operational efficiency to support program growth and organizational excellence.
Before joining the Center, Dzmitry gained broad experience in auditing, accounting, and inventory management across multiple sectors, building a strong foundation in financial operations and process optimization. He holds a Master of Science in Data Analytics and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Western Governors University and is a SAS Institute Certified Statistical Business Analyst, applying data-driven insights to advance financial leadership and enhance organizational impact.
