Mark Green
Vice President of Philanthropy
Mark Green is Vice President of Philanthropy at The Baker Center for Children and Families, where he leads the organization's comprehensive development program and serves as its chief philanthropic strategist. Mr. Green brings 25 years of fundraising leadership to The Baker Center, with deep expertise in major gifts cultivation, donor stewardship, and building philanthropic infrastructure in mission-driven organizations. His career has been defined by a consistent commitment to expanding access to opportunity and strengthening the systems that support children and families.
Prior to joining The Baker Center, Mr. Green served in senior development roles at The Guild for Human Services, Reading Partners, and Jumpstart, where he built and led fundraising programs at both the local and national levels. Across these organizations, he developed strategic fundraising plans, cultivated and secured significant gifts, and partnered closely with program, clinical, and executive leaders to translate complex services into compelling donor-centered narratives. He has consistently worked in entrepreneurial environments where building infrastructure, aligning fundraising strategy with mission, and growing diverse revenue streams are central to organizational success.
As Vice President of Philanthropy, Mr. Green partners directly with President and CEO Robert P. Franks, Ph.D., to establish relationship-based major giving as a cornerstone of The Baker Center's growth. He works across the organization's leadership team to align philanthropic priorities with its mission of advancing children's behavioral health, building toward transformational donor support that will expand the Center's impact for children and families in Massachusetts and across the nation. "Great philanthropy starts with relationships. My job is to find the people who care deeply about children's mental health and show them what's possible when they invest in an organization as committed and capable as The Baker Center."
