We are pleased to present our 2024 Impact Report: a collection of statistics, stories, and more which display the measurable impact The Baker Center has had on our community within the year. We are so grateful to our community and look forward to a new year of changing lives!

The Baker Center, a national leader in children’s mental health, recently named John Kershaw, MeD, as Senior Director of the Manville School. As Senior Director, John oversees Manville’s day-to-day operations and leads the school’s management team. John’s role will allow him to shape the vision and future of Manville alongside The Baker Center’s Senior Leadership team and ensure all students receive the highest quality care.

At The Baker Center, our mission is to improve the mental health and well-being of all children and families through evidence-based care, research, training, and advocacy. Guided by our vision of a world where every child thrives, we remain deeply committed to ensuring that our programs and services foster a sense of belonging, respect, and support for every individual we serve.

The Baker Center, a national leader in children’s mental health, has received a 5-year grant from The National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health (a subset of the Department of Health & Human Services) to pursue research into community-driven drug prevention implementation strategies for Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander youth in rural Hawai'i. The project is led by Dr. Kelsie Okamura, the head of The Baker Center’s Implementation Research team based in Hawai'i.
