Richard Voccio
Vice President of Finance
Rich Voccio joined The Baker Center in July 2021 as Vice President of Finance. Rich is responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the organization and supports the President and CEO, senior leadership, and the Board of Trustees to develop and implement financial management and oversight strategies across the organization. His areas of responsibilities include accounting, budgeting, business planning, grants and contracts management, program support, and strategic development/growth efforts of the organization. Rich brings a well-rounded financial executive leadership track record of supporting organizations by integrating a hands-on approach with a big picture strategic and entrepreneurial perspective.
Rich has over 25 years of executive financial leadership experience in the nonprofit sector with most recently supporting the United Way network in greater Boston (United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley) and Providence, RI (United Way of Rhode Island). He also led a network of UW financial professionals to promote best practices for financial and operations for local United Ways and was a UW finance and operations instructor for new UW finance professionals. Prior to his United Way work, Rich served nine years as Chief Financial Officer for Newport County Chapter RIARC in Newport, RI, a nonprofit organization supporting over 350 adults and children with disabilities. Earlier in his career, Rich worked in corporate auditing in manufacturing and insurance industries, and financial planning and analysis in pharmacy retail management.
Rich has both a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and MBA with a concentration in Finance from Providence College. He is active in the greater Boston financial community as a member of the Treasurer’s Club of Boston, Financial Executives International (FEI) Boston Chapter and regional board member for the Financial Executives Alliance (a First Republic Bank Affinity Group).
