Zariah Mekile (she/her) is a psychology intern from the PAU-Stanford Psy.D. Consortium, where she is pursuing her doctoral degree in clinical psychology. She earned a Master of Applied Psychology from Rutgers University - Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology.
Zariah has extensive experience working with children and families across school, outpatient, and community settings. She has received training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), the Summer Treatment Program (STP), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Habit Reversal Training (HRT), and Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT), and is currently working toward certification in the Modular Approach to Treatment for Children with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, or Conduct Problems (MATCH-ADTC). She also has experience conducting psychoeducational and neuropsychological assessments with children, adolescents, and adults in outpatient and school-based settings.
Her research interests focus on the impact of race-based maltreatment on psychological well-being, while her clinical interests center on interventions for children with neurodevelopmental differences and anxiety disorders. She also has a strong interest in psychological testing and assessment.
