Sara Doyle, LMHC
Staff Mental Health Counselor
Sara Doyle is a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) and Staff Mental Health Counselor at the Center for Effective Therapy. Sara graduated with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Certificate in Child and Family Mental Health from Boston College in 2020. She has experience providing therapy in a community-based setting to children, adolescents, and their families struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma and stressor related disorders, OCD, suicidality, self-harm, ADHD, and other behavioral challenges.
Sara has also supported youth and their families in accessing various systems of care, building their capacity to manage interpersonal conflict, and exploring issues related to identity development. Sara has training in evidence-based models such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure response prevention (ERP), motivational interviewing (MI), organizational skills training (OST), and is certified in Modular Approach to Therapy for Children with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, or Conduct Problems (MATCH-ADTC). Additionally, she is working towards certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Sara sees involvement of caregivers as an important part of treatment to strengthen the family system as a whole. She focuses on helping youth and their families through building insight into their problems, teaching and practicing coping skills, and utilizing a compassionate, warm approach to meet families wherever they are at.
